Hello world!
Welcome to the world. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start blogging!
Yes. The above is slightly modified paragraph from WordPress default installation, but somehow I found it appropriate for the very first post of a blog for the new born baby. Hello world! There has been quite a bit of discussion and even speculation on the name of the new born Yang. We are torn between two names, and we have finally settled to…
Elsie
According to BabyNames.com.au, Elsie is short for Elizabeth. In the Bible Elizabeth appeared in Luke 1 as wife of Zechariah the priest and mother of John the Baptist. It has a Hebrews origin that means “My God is a vow” or “Consecrated to God”. Probably taken from Luke 1′s context.
Elsie was born on Sunday, 18th of March 2007 at 11:58am at Randwick Hospital for Women. She weighted 3.61kg and 48cm length. The delivery took around 90 minutes.
Here is a video taken a few minutes after she was born:
Vivian and Elsie should be coming home from the hospital tomorrow.

Does Elsie have a Chinese name, too? How is it written?
(Also, the name of the blog has a typo: consecr_a_ted – as in this entry -, not consecr_e_ted.)
Philip,
Thanks for pointing out the spelling mistake. Yes Elsie does have a Chinese name:
楊昌儀
